Hear ye, Hear ye......3rd-5th ELP Update

Medieval Times Report

Third grade, Fourth grade, and Fifth grade are doing projects about Kings, Queens, Knights, and more! 3rd grade has been reading “Door in the Wall”, while 4th grade is reading “Castle in the Attic”, and Fifth grade is reading “King Arthur”. All three of these talented grades are learning medieval words, such as chivalry, portcullis, and grotesque. In the display case, you can see a castle with people, and a life sized “Long Sword”! There’s also 3rd grade’s “Coat of arms”! Here are two facts about medieval times: Purple was the most expensive dye, and the Caste system (when you are born to something, you stay that thing, such as being royalty means you stay royalty)! We still have projects in progress, like a courtyard and a kitchen. We are also making a master chamber and a dungeon. There is a poster hanging in the display case. It has a timeline of the medieval times. Thank you for taking your time to read this report! By: Sir Levi Birks and Lady JoAnn Hacker.
